Alissa Lang · Burnout and stress coaching

Settle the body first. Then sort the problem.

For the days you hold it together at work and have nothing left after. You are not broken. Your brain is doing its job a little too well, and it has you running on high alert. I coach people out of that state in a specific order: bring the alarm down first, then deal with what set it off.

Step 1 · Check

See where you actually are.

Two minutes, free, anonymous. The check shows you where your stress response is right now, not where you think it should be.

Step 2 · Talk

A free 25-minute call.

You bring what is going on. I will tell you plainly what I see, and whether I can help. If I am not the right person, I will say so.

Step 3 · Work

1:1 coaching, online.

We work at three levels: the body, the triggers, and the story your brain is running. Not just talk. You leave each session with something to do.

The usual session is 50 minutes, with a 25-minute rapid change option.

What people bring: burnout, anxiety, stress that will not switch off, menopause, divorce, grief, returning to work, confidence. Different stories, same alarm system.

What I coach with

Named methods, built on how the brain works.

Not vibes and not a pep talk. The work runs on methods I have built and use every day, grounded in the neuroscience of stress.

Emotional Downshift

The core method. Downshift the nervous system first, then work the triggers, then the story behind them. Three levels, in that order, because a brain on high alert cannot think its way down.

The Stress Check

Free 2-minute checks for stress, anxiety, anger and perimenopause. Anonymous, honest, and the same instruments I use with clients. Where every piece of work starts.

Next Version of Me

For when the alarm is down and the question changes, from how do I cope to where am I going. Identity, direction and goals, built on the same brain science.

Available through 1:1 coaching.

Who I am

Twenty years of pressure, two kinds of systems.

For over twenty years I co-founded and led technology companies. Underneath the job titles, the work was always the same: keeping systems stable under pressure, secure, resilient, still running when it mattered.

Alongside that I trained as an NLP Practitioner under John Grinder, the co-founder of NLP, qualified in BWRT, and went deep into the neuroscience of stress. At some point the two careers turned out to be one instinct. A person running on high alert fails the way an overloaded system fails, and recovers the same way: reduce the load, restore the signal, then rebuild. Same instinct, different system.

I coach the way I ran technology. I will be straight with you, and I will own the detail.
